Fanfics.org is a non-profit making organisation dedicated to widening the appeal of fan-fiction genres and writing/art as a whole. It is Fanfics.org's mission to build up young writers and artists, creating a new generation of creative writers/artists.

Since Fanfics.org is a non-profit organisation, it has no monetary or material revenue (indeed the site is hosted at a loss) it therefore declares itself immune to making financial, material or other reparations following any grievance. The Fanfics.org Administration recognises the respective rights, trademarks and copyrights of companies mentioned in the web-site, Bulletin Board and Internet Relay Chat Channel by its users and staff. All aspects of all external franchises, licenses, copyrights and legal properties are recognised by Fanfics.org. The Fanfics.org Administration acknowledges these as full property of their respective creator/holder companies, organisations and/or individuals and not of Fanfics.org. However, Fanfics.org owns all original aspects of the site including but not limited to concept, code and original articles. Fanfics.org has exclusive publishing rights for all material uploaded to its site and other facilities until they are deleted. Fanfics.org accepts no responsibility for such submissions.

Original contributions including but not limited to articles, stories and art are the property of independent authors and are published freely through Fanfics.org at no profit to the author or the Fanfics.org Administration. Content of contributions, including but not limited to guides and stories, is the responsibility of individual authors, who agree by submitting of material to fully indemnify Fanfics.org and its administration in the event of any legal or other consequence of publication, and does not necessarily reflect the views of the Fanfics.org Administration.

New sections are added to Fanfics.org through suggestion by users and approval by Administrators on good faith. It is the responsibility of the user to indemnify Fanfics.org from any legal action resulting from their suggestion of topic, just as it is the responsibility of the user(s) to indemnify Fanfics.org from any action or feature or activity or resource which they partake in or make use of or operate in any way.

Due to the live nature of Fanfics.org Bulletin Boards and Internet Relay Chat Channels and mailing lists it is impossible to fully moderate all content - therefore the Fanfics.org administration can accept no responsibility for offensive, adult or illegal content or the conduct of its members, staff or users. Those likely to be offended by such content or those of an age at which exposure to such content would be illegal, have the responsibility of restricting their own access. Bulletin Board and Internet Relay Chat Channel content has not been reviewed or approved therefore the views expressed in the Fanfics.org Bulletin Boards and Internet Relay Chat Channels do not necessarily reflect the views of The Fanfics.org Administration.

Fanfics.org accepts all software - meaning all programs, communication mediums, calculators, site programs and all files which process commands, including 'pure' (meaning devoid of alien elements such as cgi scripts, calculators, communications mediums or programs) Hypertext Mark-up Language files and images, on an 'as-is' basis accepting no responsibility for the condition, legality or hostile script resembling any definition of a computer virus. While every effort is made by The Fanfics.org Administration to insure that Fanfics.org content does not include any form of hostile, illegal or dangerous elements, The Fanfics.org Administration cannot accept responsibility for anything accepted on an 'as-is' basis.

Reproduction or distribution of Fanfics.org content in whole or in sizeable part (including but not limited to copying of files through reprographics equipment however excluding single printed copies for personal use of a registered Fanfics.org Bulletin Board member or Fanfics.org user) is strictly forbidden without the clearly expressed permission of the Author/Artist. Small quotes, limited in size to a single paragraph, are permissible provided they are accompanied with the source including Fanfics.org URL web address and Author/Artist name. An Author/Artist alias is sufficient to meet the criteria of Author/Artist name. Authors agree to allow small quotes, as defined above, of their contributions by submission. No form of reproduction of software (including but not limited to Internet Relay Chat 'Bot's meaning automated or manual programmed scripts) code or script is permissible.

All content on the site is the responsibility of the user that put it there. All users of Fanfics.org agree to indemnify Fanfics.org against any legal action targeted against Fanfics.org. Such agreement remains while any content belonging to the user is on the site server or site-owned server or site-administrated web space.

Fanfics.org reserves the right to terminate any accounts violating good faith or this Disclaimer or the Terms of Service. The Terms of Service are a part of the agreement made by users upon registering and/or using the site.

Users will respect the commercial and other property of firms. Individual grievances against articles or art must be directed at the Author/Artist. Authors/Artists reserve the right to employ their own disclaimers on their own work provided it does not infringe or overrule any aspect of the Fanfics.org

The Fanfics.org Administration confirms to the best of its ability the accuracy of these statements at the time of publication however reserves the right to alter any or all elements of this document without prior notice to its bulletin board members and staff, host, internet relay chat channel users or web-site readers, any other private individual, group, organisation or commercial body.
